Launched in the summer of 1999, PivotWorld.com provides solutions in information management and distribution. Our services range from custom Web Design, advanced interactive Web Applications, to robust fully customized Database applications. As a freelance I.T. Developer with small overhead, we understand the special needs of small and midsize businesses, and the individual entrepreneur surviving in a competitive world. Our personalized services are designed to meet these special needs.

Services are located in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Local Clients in the greater Vancouver area may request on-site development and consultation.

Expertise

We use technologies that allow rapid, robust, and cost-effective solutions. Small and midsize businesses want solutions that will be compatible with products they are already using. Our products are primarily based on Windows and NT technologies to ensure compatibility with widely used business programs, specially those popular with small and midsize businesses. We specialize in Databases such as SQL Server and Access both for Web development and offline Database applications. Our Web Applications are targetted for the NT based IIS server, which is the most widely used server today. We create our own server components and use them with ASP.NET, ASP, XML, and Databases for rapid development of effective online solutions. For the frontend Web presentations and functionality, we offer some of the most advanced cross-browser JavaScript and DHTML you are going to see anywhere on the Web.

We are aware of other technologies that can be used to achieve the functionality our products have. We always explore such technologies to see how they can fit into our model of providing fast, robust, and cost-effective solutions.

Our philosophy and objectives revolve around 5 R's. These factors influence our interactions with Clients, and our Development process.

Reliable: We turn out Reliable products to ensure the satisfaction of our Clients and the survival of our services. All our products go through rigorous testing before deployment or installation. After a project is completed, we backup all our products with up to sixty days of free maintenance.

We also use Reliable technologies in our products. Rather than using non-standard, untested technologies, we only rely on standard technologies with a proven track record. Using reliable technologies not only makes our products more reliable, it also minimizes the long term cost of ownership of our products.

Rapid: We primarily use technologies that allow Rapid development and deployment. We are experts on technologies such as ASP.NET, VB.NET, ASP, XML, SQL Server, Access, JavaScript/DHTML, VB/COM, ADO, and ActiveX. These technologies are regularly used in our projects. Although we use these technologies for Rapid development, we also offer solutions in Java, VC++, and C.

Our extensive suite of custom Components (COM, ActiveX) drastically reduces development time. We created these Components to encapsulate robust functionality commonly required by many Applications or programs.

Reasonable: We follow a Reasonable pricing structure that makes our services highly affordable for small and midsize businesses.

Research: We take our Research and training seriously. We rigorously research our Clients' requirements to come up with project specifications. At the same time, we always research on newer, better, and creative ways of formulating solutions.

PivotWorld.com is owned and operated by Kazi S. Jahangir. Kazi is directly involved in nearly all aspects of our projects - from project management to development and support. He frequently corresponds with Clients to ensure smooth and successful transition of Clients' ideas into reality. He brings with him years of valuable experience as a Database and Web developer. This Web Site was designed and deployed by Kazi.

Kazi is also available for on-site contracts/projects with local companies in the greater Vancouver area in British Columbia, Canada.
